About Us

We are the Lowland Brigade Pipe Band. The band was founded in 1978 by Rob Hoogenhout, and since then Zwolle has been our home base. Our members come not only from Zwolle but also from far beyond. What unites us is a shared passion for Scottish music and culture.

As a traditional Pipe Band, we consist of both a pipe section (bagpipes) and a drum section. The drum section includes a bass drummer, snare drummers, and of course tenor drummers. Together, we create a powerful, impressive, and above all recognizable sound.

Our mission is to perform throughout the country. This includes major national events as well as local events, parties, and other private performances. In addition, we believe it is extremely important to enjoy what we do!

We rehearse every Thursday evening at our band building in Spoolde, from 7:15 PM until approximately 9:45 PM. Would you like to come and have a look? Then please contact us via the contact form.
